It’s not too late! Attention all friends of the Table. Join us tonight, Thursday, April 19, for the American Craft Council’s VIP Preview Party for the St. Paul Craft Show. Marnita is being honored as a Style Maker – as seen in a multi-page spread in Mpls St. Paul Magazine’s April issue AND the April/May issue of the American Craft Council’s magazine, American Craft.
Have you seen Marnita in her amazing butterfly raincoat? That coat, which has now become part of the essential Marnita style, was purchased for her as an early 50th birthday gift at the Craft Council show last year by dear friend Pam Diamond.
The party is at the St. Paul RiverCentre, 175 West Kellog Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55102, from 6-9 p.m.
I know it will be a blast, with leading lights from the Twin Cities’ arts, cultural and educational community in attendance. The evening will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, pre-show shopping, live music and free show passes to return to the Craft Council show itself from April 20-22. Tickets for the Preview Party are $75 at the door.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Craft Council show, just know that it is amazing. It includes pieces from more than 200 of the top contemporary jewelry, clothing, furniture and home décor artists from across the country. The Craft Council is a national organization that recently moved its headquarters from New York to Minneapolis in recognition of the concentration of creative and skilled arts and crafts community in the Twin Cities.
