SUMMARY:DEED and Workforce Leadership Statewide Visioning
DESCRIPTION:This Visioning will provide an engaging opportunity for Regional Workforce Leadership & Planning Teams/Boards to come together following the regional events in order to collaboratively evaluate the community feedback on equity and inclusion in the workforce. Together we will walk through a guided process for incorporating the tools learned in training and the input gathered from community members into coherent\, actionable strategic plans for increasing equity and inclusion and engaging more meaningfully across difference in every region of Minnesota. This is also an excellent time to connect with DEED and Workforce leadership across the state to learn more about how the process of community engagement around equity has been unfolding in other regions. \nSave the Date\nMarch 7\, 2017\n10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nLocation\nSt. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church\n3450 Irving Ave S\nMinneapolis\, MN 55408 \nRSVP via email: elexis@marnitastable.org \nWho’s Invited?\nDEED & Regional Workforce Leadership & Planning Teams/Boards \nMore About the March 7th Statewide Visioning\nDuring our time together we will engage in a one-to-one\, two-to-two\, four-to-four and eight-to-eight guided planning session\, where teams consisting of the regionally based leadership and planning boards will walk through the process of establishing priorities and actionable steps for their plans\, first individually\, then in gradually increasing steps until everyone has had a chance to give their input and connect their visions into a cohesive whole. \nFollowing this Visioning session\, we will engage in a critical conversation about barriers and concerns in order to nail down practical strategies for implementation and address any potential obstacles to the group visions at the outset.
