SUMMARY:Energy Empathy Environment
DESCRIPTION:Are you concerned about our increasingly divisive society? Do you feel an urgency for catalyzing authentic relationships across race\, class\, religion\, political\, alignment and other means of self-identity? If so\, we need you to join us on Saturday\, November 4\, 2017 from 7-10 p.m. at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church in Uptown for our ninth annual Start the Conversation fundraiser! Get ready for a tasty\, timely and insightful exploration of Energy Empathy Environment. We’ll update you on how Intentional Social Interaction (“IZI”) is closing relationship gaps across difference in Minnesota and beyond while you enjoy a feast appropriate for all dietary concerns from vegan to carnivore. \nRight now there are pressing requests throughout our state and country to bring people together equitably and peacefully to solve the challenges confronting us. Although almost 70% of our revenue and 100% of our operating budget come from someone who hires us\, we are raising funds to field rapid response teams to deliver pop-up Tables with supporting tools. Often the demand for IZI is greatest where there isn’t a clear funding source. That’s why we need your support to bring IZI to communities that require immediate intervention but lack the budget to meet their needs. \nPlease go online to order your tickets today:\nhttp://energyempathyenvironment.brownpapertickets.com/.\nGeneral Admission tickets are $75. We have a special scholarship price of $25. Want to sponsor or volunteer? Contact Lauren@marnitastable.org \nThank you for valuing our model of Intentional Social Interaction (“IZI”)! We appreciate your investment in building critical social capital in our community. We look forward to welcoming you to the Table soon! If you can’t be with us\, please consider making a donation.

Though as always Marnita’s Table appreciates donations to defray costs and support the work we do. \nQ: Do I have to RSVP?\nYou don’t have to RSVP for this event\, but it does help to know how many might come\, so let us know if you already know you are coming! How do I get there?\nRoads close early so you really need to be here by 7:15 am in the morning\, particularly if you are driving and parking. Wheelchairs start at 8:00 am from downtown. Runners come in waves starting at about 8:15. If you are biking or walking you can cross Penn Avenue until then. If you drive\, park on Kenwood Parkway and then walk around the block as we are on the west side of Penn Avenue right before Lake of the Isles Parkway. After a certain time\, often a little after 7:15 you can’t cross Penn Avenue to get to the parkway as they have it closed. Then you must park to the east of Penn Avenue and walk to get to us. The easiest would be to park in Kenwood Elementary School parking lot and walk two blocks south and cross the street! But you must do that no later than 8:00 am! You can’t miss us!
