Marnita’s Table invites you to please join us to Tea at the Table!

As we come out of our bubbles of isolation to re-enter society we’ll need to build bridges now more than ever. While the social justice movement of the past years have left many energized, others have more questions than ever before and are seeking practical solutions for intentionally moving forward equitably and uniting our communities.

Are you interested in learning about how to heal as a community? Do you want to authentically come together across differences? Are you thinking about how to have honest, meaningful and effective conversations? Are you, your organization or your community looking to become more equitable and move BEYOND theory into an embodied practice of equity and inclusion? Are you interested in strategically creating lasting change? Are you seeking to find or retain talent of color?

We are receiving communications from people all over the world who want to be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE. We can help YOU build bridges across difference. Authentically. Measurably. Productively. In a safe(r) space.

Come for a minute or stay the whole time.

What to Expect

You will experience our nationally recognized experience engineering model, digital/ Intentional Social Interaction (d/IZI). We’ll share how we’re engaging in Healing and Trust-making in communities to build pathways towards connection and relationship.

If you are receiving this invitation, it is because you’ve expressed interest in doing things differently. We can help you. We recommend attending one of our Tea at the Table overviews before scheduling a one-on-one meeting. This is an opportunity to get your questions answered and get additional insight about whether you want or need a one-on-one conversation with our team.

We’ve redesigned our tools and techniques to create an inclusive digital space, to ensure equitable elevation of marginalized voices and viewpoints. Meet digital Intentional Social Interaction (dIZI for short). It is built on the five foundations and 22 touchpoints of our original, highly effective, experience engineering model Intentional Social Interaction (“IZI”) – diverse gatherings engineered to spark systemic change through connection and collaboration.

We understand many dominant culture organizations are excited to make change at this time. Be mindful. Be proactive. Be intentional. Be authentic. We are sharing tangible skills that you can start adapting and using right now to become better allies and make equitable, lasting change. More importantly, you will have an opportunity to think about what YOU and your organization want to move forward with intention.

You will receive Intro to digital Intentional Social Interaction (“dIZI”).  Additional topics to be explored may include:

  • Catalyzing genuine and enduring cross-cultural community connections;
  • Centering your community engagement experience through ensuring that every person in attendance feels as though “this event was created intentionally with me in mind”;
  • Emerge: How patience and active listening builds better bottom up community-based solutions;
  • Change! Adopting new practices in order to effectively and authentically connect with community.
  • Research & Reflection: Why do you want to bring people together? What difference are you trying to bridge? What do YOU think will happen?
  • Effective collaboration across difference; and
  • Just Quit! How systems can stop fatiguing the communities they should be serving

Thank you! We hope to see you soon!
